” It is not what I see outside that makes my images, it is what I feel on the inside that comes out.”
It’s about immersing myself completely in the moment and feeling the connection between me, my equipment and the subject that I am shooting. I am not just looking through my camera, I am seeing the story below the surface. I am feeling that fleeting moment and wanting to capture the beauty of it. Having this sensitivity, compassion, and perspective has been the driving force to my work. It is what is appreciated most by viewers and clients.
“Live Passionately and Sincerely”
I am a critical thinker. It was ignited with my undergrad studies and furthered at NYU in visual communications-studio arts. I strongly believe in living a life through my own thoughts, actions, responsibilities and emotions. Especially for an artist, it’s a responsibility to not follow in another’s footsteps but to develop an individual voice. The value of having an unconventional lifestyle by working and traveling globally is limitless. It nurtures my desires to live passionately and sincerely despite obstacles which occur along the journey. As a result, I have been able to embrace this philosophy into my photography. More importantly, I have become a better human being. I am responsible for what and how I create. Photography helps me filter truth from the noise in modern life.
“Love for photography. Eat sleep and breathe it. Become a photograph.”
The truth is that I LOVE photography. I fell in love with it in a darkroom as a teenager. I look forward to every opportunity and moment that offers me a chance to create images. Even when I don’t have my camera with me, I am seeing the world as if I do, everyday. I have excelled in this field because of this. It’s a mental workout that I participate in daily. From the moment I wake up and through the course of my day, I am in this world. I am an explorer and treasure hunter in a constant search of that monumental moment.
When you look through my portfolio, you will see a reflection of the best of me. I hope that I have opened a door of thoughts and possibilities for you, as a photographer or a person on a quest to live life to the fullest.
Finally, I am also an educator, and open to helping anyone who wants it. It’s a service to give back. I do workshops and correspond to my inquires. Building a real connection, not a virtual one is vital for me and establishing professional relationships. I look forward to hearing from you.
